Things have perked up.

My mom fell and hurt her leg last night. She went to the doc today and it's not broken and he said she could still go to Utah. We were all so depressed last night because it was very swollen and painful. The last time she fell it took 3 months to heal. So all day I was bummed about it and kept thinking about it, and then I hear the good news. I'm so glad. So now it's back to planning the trip with all of us going.

Still no news when Kathy will have Andy. He's big, he's dropped, he's full-term, she's a little dialated, but he's still in there. There is much back-and-forth about when to leave. Alex will turn 4 on the 12th, the 11th is my dad's birthday, and Andy's true due date is the 22nd. Although they moved it to the 15th but my mom said, no, it's still the 22nd. Wouldn't that be cool if he were born on Christmas? Then he'd be a Christmas baby. Oh, don't go on about how all his presents would be "slash" gifts, how he wouldn't have a day of his own, how he'd be overlooked in the Christmas rush. No. He'd already have something unique and special about him. And for those who love him, it'd be something happy to think of every time Christmas or his birthday comes around. So that is my secret wish -- a Christmas surprise for the Devlin family (shhhhhhh...everyone else, ESPECIALLY KATHY, wants to have the baby early and is against Christmas babies for those petty reasons already mentioned.)

I am being very good about practicing the splits. As far as I can tell, there has been no improvement.

Or...if he could be really late and be a New Year's baby! Nah, I like Christmas baby more.

One thing that's cool about Alex -- he was born 12/12/99 which means he's always the age of whatever year it is. 2003 = 3 years old. 2004 = 4 years old. I will never forget that kid's age except for half the month of December.

I wonder if maybe I am stretching the wrong way. I am sitting and stretching my legs out as far as they will go. But maybe I should be more vertical, and try to stretch my legs apart using the ground. That kind of stretch is a lot of work to hold though.

I widened out a bit more and I'm using my weights to hold my legs. I'll show you improvement.

They still hurt, even more than before.

Good night.
