Juan, the housemate I'm replacing at my new residence, left on his (now my) shelf (and thus forfeited to moi):
about 5-6 bags of spaghetti
3 cans of peas
lots of seasonings
coffee
capuccino
an ice-shaker for making drinks
two martini glasses
(hm. maybe that thing is called a martini shaker?? hmmm...)
a package of brownie mix
brown sugar
and a package of something that makes what looks like balls of cheese wrapped in corn meal. (It's in Spanish. I can't remember what they're called.)
So one big jar of Ragu and some produce, and I got myself enough spaghetti to feed me for a month or two! Save $, mooch off stranger's left-behind food. Still need a microwave though.
Amy, or anyone - want to have vegetarian spaghetti Saturday night? If you bring the salad, I'll have the garlic bread and spaghetti. Ooo... or bruschetta. I love bruschetta. I know, we could always go out, I'm just trying to save $. I'm sorry, I have no alcohol to offer. Oh wait - I might have some Sherry in this old olive oil bottle... probably enough for one martini glass each.
Then we can make brownies too. Yum. Always fun to make brownies with friends. Nothing too fun to put in them, now that Stu's out of my life! Oh well. We'll have to get giggly on our own. Brownies and capuccino..
Speaking of that one, Stu's been leaving messages left and right. I wish he'd stop but I don't want to contact him in any way to tell him to. Me, him, + contact = not good.
Instead of working on the room I took a walk last night. I wanted a break. I was going to work out but I didn't want to be up too late. I want to run along the beach, I can't believe I haven't done that yet. But I will.
I'm also going to start practicing the splits again. Remember my first posts, a year or two ago? This whole blog used to be all about the status of my splits and oh how my discipline has waned. But no more excuses. Everyday, my dears. I'm also going to start skating again. I brought my skates last night. One of the girls from the play is going to teach me to skateboard. She has this really big board and mine is the cheap-o smallish one but hopefully I can still learn on it.
Enough for today. Have a good weekend everyone.
