i need my daddy

last night i discovered i lack the talent to hook up dvd players.

there were only 3 plugs - red, white, and yellow. color-coordinating and connecting did not work.

the user manual was absolutely NO help. i looked at every single page, but it only tells you how to USE the dvd player. i already know that! then it tells you how to use it in french. great. there is even a page about how to put batteries into the remote. HELPFUL.

after a while i just gave up and stared at it. (not a movie, mind you. the appliance.)

it's really incredible, there was no instruction for how to hook it up! what is it? do people just know? the only other paper i could find was the warranty.

i'm really sleepy today. i was coughing up a storm at rehearsal yesterday. dry, seal bark, annoying coughs. it's dusty there i think. i felt bad but i couldn't stop! on the way home i stopped at walgreens to get some REAL cough medicine. not walgreens, rite aid, i mean. anyway, i got me Robitussin COUGH & CONGESTION Formula. it was either that or MAXIMUM STRENGTH COUGH SUPPRESSION. i'm not really congested but i figured i should get it out! the nyquil & dayquil are more along the lines of cold/flu suppression, but the selection was limited at Cala's. so anyway, robitussin is sickening at first, and then it's like an acquired taste. yum. but i can't take any more for another 3 hours.
