cute alex story:

A final Alex story...
On the way home from preschool, Alex was feeling his usual playful self. Upon arriving home, I say we'll be using the front door.
He says, "Ok. But, Mommy. The FIRST (not the last) one in is a rotten egg!"
He then tore off and edged in the door just ahead of Andy and I as I was opening the door.
Upon entering, in a Mia Hamm moment, he got down on his knees threw his arms up in the air and proclaimed, "YESSS!! I AM THE ROTTEN EGG!"

yesterday was fun. the curry-lentil rice-a-roni was a hit with me. i just wished i had garlic spinach to go with it... then i had my romper roomy gymnasticky exercise class, always wears me out but in a good way.
i have been SO good with money, i am just oozing with pride about it. the reason i did not hop over to cala's and get some spinach was because i was being cheap-o & stingy and i'm so wickedly proud of myself for it. maybe i'm over-doing it actually. nah. there's still a ton of juan's old food (mostly pastas & beans) in my cupboard and if i hadn't gone broke, i'd still be ignoring it.
so it's pay off bills first, buy fishtank & fish later.
i still don't know enough about fishies anyways.
see people? this is all about delayed gratification. that is what being broke teaches you. you must enjoy the now no matter what you have or don't have. then you can anticipate & salivate over the future. come here fishies! yumyum. er.. just kidding. i'm still vegetarian (mostly).
