weekend

Friday was Fondue Night. Since half the people reading this are already privy to this, or were present for this event, I'll be brief. I do not like swiss fondue. Chocolate fondue rocks though.

After fondue, I split. I wanted to watch Flightplan (it opened on Friday.) I think everyone else went to Inyad's and enjoyed Homemade Peppermint Ice-Cream. Mmmmmm....

Flightplan was really good. At least I liked it. I read a review about it which I think was judgmental and overly critical. I was engaged the whole time.

I crashed in San Leandro. Saturday morning I drove to SF, changed to my black clothes, and then drove to Berkeley. I was perfectly on time and found free parking (!) when I realised I didn't have my wallet with me (!!!!!!). Oh, the shock and horror. Alas, (I realised) wallet was safely ensconced in pocket of brown jacket thrown hastily on bed in San Francisco.

Oh well. Today I'll be hungry. (Had not eaten yet as had slept in and was not hungry until about 2pm when realized wallet was gone. I KNOW, just call me FLAKEHEAD.)

Luckily, I had nothing to worry about. They fed me! Free food, free drinks, it was great. The Jerry Garcia benefit concert was fun. Lots of dancing, beer-thirsting people, and happiness all round. The only bad part was I didn't get to serve any alcohol as my booth was food and soda only. But we all shared tips, and we made out. :) I got to go backstage a lot too, to get more trays of food. Too bad I don't know anything music-wise. It was really cool back there - a nice set up with lanterns, candles, flowers, wine, heat lamps (it was outside), etc.

Fun. And back to San Leandro to crash one more time.

Sunday morning I had to get to the city and :( I got a ticket... for not stopping at a stop sign. There was a lot on my mind, but of course, I felt really stupid. The cop was really nice about it, considering I didn't even have my license on me.

So then I drove, very AWARE-LY, home. I changed yet again. By this time my hair was grease-ick city.

Then I met an excited Jen and Lisa for the Now & Zen concert.

That was fun. It was nice hanging out. Jen really appreciates concerts and music. I just like the atmosphere more than knowing lyrics, artists, etc. I read a play which I didn't really like. I also got free bubbles and a bracelet and waited in long lines for iced tea and food. I waited almost an hour for a 5-10 minute massage. But it was worth it. I practically fell asleep.

I think Lisa and Jen mostly chilled and enjoyed the concert. Jen had an It's-it and I thought I'd try one, but I didn't end up liking it.

So Jen had a good idea - Cha Cha Cha's. Only it was packed so we had Mexican, cheap, fast, good ol' Mexican.

After that we said our goodbyes and I read two more plays. I liked one of them but was not in love w/it. I took a walk to return a movie and I got another one, a Finnish one, that I really liked.

Thus ended the weekend.
