I came thisclose to selling my fishtank last night. But the lady didn't bring any money... Harumphtl. Her man is supposed to come by tonight but that has to be cancelled because I'll be in Jack London Square finding out if I have a new job or not, and what the schedule will be, and all of that stuff.
People are so impulse-y. For instance, I'm also selling my violin, and 2 people expressed interest, but when I got back to them a mere 2 days later (because of the weekend), they'd already bought themselves one. I guess I am like that too.
Yesterday my landlord removed the radiators from all of our rooms and put in electric heaters. I love mine. It's in the wall, smallish, white (so it matches), and it works! Well, too. The spot where the big, clunky, heavy, non-working radiator was is gross though. Need to clean, paint, and do something about a hole in the wall. Maybe make a nice little mouse door for it. :) Also, it's great incentive to rip out the carpet and sand down the hardwood floors underneath. Great incentive, but not quite enough for me right now... another big project for down the road..
Last night I also saw one of my friends from the knitting group. Ok, so I forgot her name, but I haven't gone in a while. I totally forgot it was Tuesday and I went out for a stroll and visited the cafe where they all knit. I felt guilty for abandoning my hobby but the girl and I just made jokes about it. She was just there to chill anyway. So then, this morning, I put on a light scarf and it got me thinking - I am really going to finish the somewhat out-of-shape knit purse I made and then make myself a SOFT, beautiful scarf.
Yes, I know I have the whole gang in Utah I can now knit for, but that is an undertaking. I still have to learn a lot more before I even attempt two baby blankets..
Hm. That's mostly why I'm excited about bartending. I'm picturing sleeping in, days free to fiddle with creative things, the production of writing, art, decor, and all things interesting flourishing out of my happy hands. Oh, sigh...
