Well.
Carolyn moves into the 21st century.
I needed a digital camera (or a camera for that matter, besides the one in my cell phone) and I finally have one. Not that pink bit of betrayal I may be returning (unless I give it to my nephew...which I might do...my only reluctance is because he's 7 and his parents would have to be much involved in the (time consuming) transfering of photos to the computer until he learned it...so I'll have to discuss with my sis..)
But back to my point - I have a real camera!
I got a Fuji A400 Digital Camera at a great bargain thanks to a wonderful guy at the Ritz Camera at Serramonte. It was on sale at Target for $99.99 and he offered me $20 cheaper!
For those of you too lazy to click the link above, it has 4.1 MegaPixels, 1.8-inch TFT LCD monitor, and 10.8 x Total Zoom. That's plenty good enough for me. When I want something better I'll research, save, etc.
So then I did some research for the memory card I'd need. Since Ritz was out he pointed me in the right direction and I wandered around and got prices and more info. I decided to get a Fuji brand one, as the manufacturer only guarantees the camera when in use if it has a Fuji memory card in it (not too mention I would trust a Fuji memory card with a Fuji camera.) Circuit City didn't have any Fuji brand memory cards but the guy tried to push the other two brands on me. I also got the feeling he thought I was a shoplifter! Can't a girl comparison shop? I knew they had one 512MB left at $39.99 and 2??MB $25.99 at Target to the right of the freeway in Fuji brand, so I checked the Target on the left of the freeway and they had 1GB for $60, the 2??MB at $25.99, but they were out of the 512MB, which they had on sale for $19.88! While I was tempted to get the 1GB, I talked with another wonderful guy who called the right-sided Target and had them save the last 512MB and give me the $19.88 price for it. I still get a little over 500 pics out of it, so I'm happy.
Let me clarify: I got both my digital camera and my memory card on sale!
So I come home and Trena has refunded me some of my deposit for a paint deduction (she had taken it out of her deposit to Juan.)
Told you I'm pleased.
