Room Progress

I took before pics but I haven't loaded the software to my computer yet. I think the lens has to be cleaned.

After work I hit Home Depot and stocked up on primer, paint brushes, rollers, etc.

Then I came home and mostly cleaned the room. I also took out the millions of nails, hooks, and gazillions of tacks from the walls and ceiling and door and carpet. I intended to spackle tonight also, which the room is in dire need of, but the spackle we have just won't do the job. This is because the only way to remove 2 ugly-bumpy screws which had been painted over (twice) was to use a hammer and wrench them free. That left a big gaping hole in the plaster over the door. Well, not too big. About the size of my palm.

So I thought I should invest in better spackle.

Tomorrow's going to be super busy:

1. Cancel Trendwest. There's no way I'm going to Walnut Creek to spend 90 minutes and waste the whole morning when I have less than a week to get my room up to snuff and move in.

2. Buy spackle, 2 outlet covers, and there was something else... Ah, I remember now, a light switch too.

3. Spackle, spackle, spackle.

4. Line the carpet edges by the walls with tape and protective plastic sheets while the spackle dries. Since that takes about a day (particularly when covering huge gaping hole), I'll move on to the pink room:

5. Remove all pictures, mirrors, and hanging things from walls.

6. Spackle in the pink room.

7. Deconstruct pink room's light, which is going into the closet of the new room.

I know, fascinating. (Can you tell I mostly made this list for my own sake?)

I hope everyone else is out there manufacturing their Vitamin D from the sun.
