Total Eclipse of the ...Moon

A friend sent this, I just HAD to share:

Tomorrow night is a total eclipse of the moon! It's visible from San Francisco starting right at moon rise (5:46pm) in the east, three minutes after the partial eclipse begins (i.e. from that moment you'll see an earth-shaped bite taken out of the moon). Total eclipse (moon is in complete 'darkness' (though actually rusty red color, thanks to our atmosphere - just like red sunsets here on earth) from 7:01pm to 7:51pm. Everything wraps up by 9:09pm -- then you'll have to wait till the next eclipse in 2010.

some link she sent about this i haven't checked it yet, says sfgate

Everything NASA has to say about this eclipse can be found here

I hope the fog clears dagnabbit.

If you're lucky enough to have clear skies about you and your trusty cam, please do take pictures for your dear, sweet, kind, very grateful, celestial-loving friend, me.

:)

Guess what I got? I got a Vegetable Identifier book. It's like a beautiful photographed-illustrated book to identify vegetables. Please, stay with me. I'm just done feeling stupid because I don't know what a cumquat is. ...bad example, maybe that's a fruit? But let me tell you, on the cover are no less than 3 veggies that I can't identify. What does that tell you? No, it does not tell you I am stupid. It tells you there are certain plant foods that people don't start eating until they're almost 30. That's all.

Also, the cilantro I replanted is not doing so well. I think I killed one little one somehow. :( The rest are still mostly at a strange kilter angle. I feel like I'm a lousy plant parent. And my little blue roses kinda things keep shriveling up, even though I'm careful about watering and trying not to over water but still make sure the soil is moist. Why is it so difficult? Only my dear DENDROBIUM orchid Jen gave me is doing ok. By the way, Jen, have fun on your upcoming trip. Hope you have a great, relaxing time. When I water good ol' Dendro I'll be thinking of you. (And Dayni.)

You my dear girl have one reader for your vegan blog. I saw the link on myspace and thought I might learn some yummy stuff!

I purree spinach (baby as its smoother) and put it in other stuff, the chicklets never even know its there.

They're averaging 2-3 servings each of spinach at dinner. Plus the other stuff I sneak in -- carrots, red bell peppers, broccoli, and usually cauliflower.

good, I think they're doing better than me on the spinache! hopefully they'll develop a taste for it and not even know it.
