Back in foggychilly SF from our trip to visit LM and fam in MI. I'm so glad I got to see her again, she's one of those you really miss. It was fun to hang with everyone and many fine memories were created. Like Amy, I'm now enjoying the blog-freedom of not having a secret-to-keep burning inside. :b
I ended up taking a taxi from the airport (yes, $$$), moving my car, crashing, up early for work, working, going to a Thai place for dinner, crashing again (very early), and now I'm back at work. I'm going to try to get things put away tonight so I can feel more settled.
Having Ernie around and thinking about Regina lately makes me want to move somewhere where I can have a pet. At the same time, I'm never home anyways, so I don't want to get some poor creature that I'll end up emotionally neglecting most of the time..
Yesterday I also bought some more balsa wood little toy planes which I want to play with next time the weather's good and I happen to be in a wide open space with a flat surface. I bought 4 different kinds (so cheap!) and I want do a Scientific Experiment to find out which one lasts the longest, flies the highest, flies the longest, slowest to break apart, best lander, etc. The best rated ones will be blogged about thoroughly, purchased again and sent to my nephews in UT.
I'm also really enjoying the free Adventures of Tom Sawyer book I got in MI. What a weird coincidence, I was just thinking the day before I found it that I wanted to read the Huckleberry Finn book again. I don't think I ever read Tom Sawyer. I want to read more of Mark Twain, I like his turn of phrases. So next up will be The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
Edit: vague memories from high school. I think we had a discussion back then about the racist terms in the book..
