Happy October 2010

I have been busy but I guess I've held off posting because sometimes I can really be one of those "I'll wait until things are better to________" people.

However, just to let y'all know what's up with me, and cuz here I am reading your blogs and I'm really getting to the point where people have probably given up, I decided to just give a little rundown of my life and resume blogging.

So lately I've just been busy with an unpaid internship which I'm somewhat enjoying (assisting chefs teach kids cooking/encouraging them to put more emphasis on nutrition in their curriculum), temped once, interviews, auditions, joined a filmmaking co-op, reading, and generally making a mess of my room.

Hurt my foot somehow and I've been limping maybe a full week now, it's really frustrating and has thrown quite a wrench in my running. Even walking hurts. I'm not sure what I did but I blame girly shoes. (Dressing up for interviews.) I like looking nice but I really like being comfy.

I watched The Lives of Others, then I watched it all over again with Director's Comentary on.

Speaking of movies, watched a bunch of pitches from the filmmaking co-op (it's scarycow.com, in case you're wondering). There were so many and not really one I felt totally drawn to, so I'm sort of signed as interested in a bunch of them. I'll see what happens. Guess a lot of it is meeting people, helping them out, learning, having fun..

My room is scary now, I seriously have got to tidy and clean.

I got a role in a student short film, so I'm reading the whole script for that. This is separate from Scary Cow. It's a reshoot from a movie, and it's cool, I've never seen the movie but the script is really interesting, so I think it'll be fun to work on it.

I'm excited my nephews and Kathy should be out for Halloween, and of course, really hoping everyone who wants to get out here is able to.

And last, but not least, I've noticed I've taken an interest in the tiniest of creatures. Twice now, while eating out, little bugs have landed in my food and I've pitied them and taken the time to resurrect them out of it, help them clean off, and send them alive and kicking out the window (or door, as it were). It's really fascinating to watch when you help them in their struggle and realize you have changed their doomed fate. Happened with a small moth and a tiny flea like critter. Very tiny, microscopic.
