Last night I stretched like I'd never stretched before. What the heck got into me. Vertically, as low as I could go, with the timer on my watch running to time me. Fifteen loooooong excruciating minutes. Agony. Dear, dear agony. Discipline too. I was determined to do it. I wanted to stop before the first 30 seconds were up, just to give you an idea of the pain. My legs are STILL sore. I tried to recite my Stella lines which was very difficult. Nevermind the pain, I don't have Blanche's lines down. So that took the full 15 minutes just there. The important thing was to keep my mind wandering. And here's what's amazing: The pain lessens in weird increments and I lowered little by little in slow, tiny degrees. Now by lessened, don't get the idea that the pain in any way went away. No. But I was able to end up lower than I've ever been. And still the pain! Ooooo the pain! The most pain I was in all day - no, all week - no, all month - all year!
I still have a long way to go, but this sure helped.
I keep going back and forth about the improv troupe. 40 bucks a month is just too much for me right now. And what kind of group makes the members pay dues -- but only rehearse, never perform? It's ridiculous. (See, how I'm feeling now I'll just send off that draft email calling it quits. But then I remember how much fun it is. Ah, me...) But, I am broke and paying off a car and therefore I have to cut back expenses.
:(
I'll send the email after I finish this blog.
The good side is I get to watch the Frasier finale tonight.
I'll also make a list of pros and cons, just to be sure. ...But I am getting pretty sure. I want that car paid off!
Or..heck!
Also, I stayed at work instead of driving home (to save gas). I would have walked but for my penchant of staying up 'til 12:30 AM. But no more! I will walk from now on!
I ate a veggie cup-o-noodles for lunch, so saved money there. 2 points for me!
