Prayer, Caring Thoughts

Hi all,

I breifly would like to request a prayer chain on behalf of my little Ryan.

As most of you know, Ryan was born with a neurotube defect (commonly known as spina bifida). He has a small membrane covering the place the skin is missing but the spinal cord fluid does collect under the skin and puts pressure there when he gets upset. The risk for menegitis goes up as that membrane detriorates.

Anyway, Tuesday he FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY gets his MRI done. Following the results of the MRI, his corrective surgeries will either immediately follow or take place later in the week.

As any mother can imagine, I am a nervous wreck. He will probably go under general anthesia for both the MRI and surgeries -- very dangerous to a person so young and small.

Anyway please pray for my little Ryan and ask your friends to as well. Mark and I truly believe in the power of pray and are hopeful that he will have no (or at least minor) disablities or problems as he gets older.

Thanks.

Kathryn

Kathy, he is in our thoughts and prayers, and so are you, Mark, Alex, and Andy. I'm sure he'll pull through. Sending Love, Auntie Carolyn
