your soda links aren't working. just as well. i am trying to boycott soda. (soda- an evil, highly overpriced drink of sugar and chemicals with a negatory - as in, it's bad for you - nutritional value.) by 'boycott' i mean, myself, personally. i want to stop drinking it. it's very difficult at work, but i will try.
my dad's back surgery went well. he's already back at home, resting. he has to recuperate now and i have already dropped the (cough) "yoga!" and (ahem) "pilates!" hints.
i met up with lorraine and jennifer, or should i say, the President and Co-President of the Ferry Book Club. We discussed The Bonesetter's Daughter, by Amy Tan. Not my cup of tea but everyone else liked it. (I thought Ms. Tan went overboard with the wrenching of my emotions, but Lorraine and Jennifer were of the opinion that it was my fault, and not Ms. Tan's. Ha. Like I sob like that when I read Hemingway.) We mostly discussed our plans to vacation in Hawaii in March, when the whales are there. Side comments about Lorraine's last trip to Hawaii, her motorcyle trip, Jennifer's new job, and my new job also took us on many tangents. We rounded up our time with plans for the next meeting, confusion about where I had parked my car, and many giggles on the walk to said car, about numerous and varied sundried topics.*
*I have just finished reading a novel. Excuse me. :)
Well, that's about it. I work at the art store manana and then Bubba's, so not much time to finish the Spurlock book I'm borrowing from Dayni, so I must get cracking.
Soda is evil! EVIL I say!
