The Exploratorium and Jen being a Kid
THE TACTILE ROOM, oh, that is the best! Alex must try it once he's 7. It's a completely dark climbing/crawling/obstacle course/pathway/maze/hunt thingy in the Exploratorium. Jen and I went 3 times. The first time I went first and trailblazed, Jen tickling my feet and freaking out. The second time Jen blazed ahead and I "smelled the roses" - tried to discover different items (keys, chains, cowboy boots, a brush, baby toys, etc.) in the dome. The third time we both tried to savor the experience but were rushed along because our time was finally up. So fun. What is interesting is how quickly you adapt to the darkness and realize that you are not seeing anything. There is so much around you to explore and discover and figure out - so much information to take in - you are too busy figuring it all out and remembering as you go along, and then it occurs to you you're in the dark. Much Fun Was Had.

yum yum yummy yum
The Vampire Tour, although it was cold and windy and I missed some stuff because one must stay completely focused in order to catch it all, it was very interesting and entertaining, even if it wasn't chock full of actual facts. I'm very intrigued to learn more about the Nob Hill Cafe whatever that was and also more about the general area there.
And the best - all the funny pics and general hanging out at Ghiradelli.
Too bad others weren't with us, but still fun.
Always great to see you guys.
And Lisa, Jen promises to post pics.
