nice toes, lise

fun night. i saw my ol' gang at Andy's Friends and Family Night. it was great to see them, plus, free food! i am seriously watching money as i won't be paid for the office job until the end of the month. i still have the fine dining, thank goodness, and i'm not hurting, but i'm super careful and taking advantage of all kinds of free stuff....

which brings me to:

free night of theatre!

thursday, oct 19th, i'll be posting the info or sending it out once i check my email and gather the energy. Andrew's friend and a director/actor from Yale (he's all one guy, don't get confused) is acting in it (along with another actor). it's called The Zoo Story. i don't know what it's about. i saw this guy's (let me pause now, as i just remember i got his card in my pocket, ah, sh*t it's in my purse somewheres) anyway, the director/actor guy directed the shakespeare i saw - as you like it - that was a really great show (i mean the acting was great!) so i'm expecting this should be really good.

another cool thing about tonight - ok, there were 2 things:

1. Andrew met Amy Glazer, my old acting teacher from San Jose State Univ, when he went to a show she directed. she remembered me :) Andrew's a really nice guy, all into acting and technique, and loves meeting acting teachers and talking about acting. he's a great teacher, so i'm glad he got to meet her too.

2. i won one of the raffles! i won a free hour of coaching from Andrew. i'm glad because i'm not going to take the class until january (most likely, to save money and because i'll be spending so much time working pretty soon) so i can work on a monologue until then, which will be time and work but i don't have to worry about my crazy schedule conflicting with anyone elses for rehearsals, not to mention all the reading Andrew's classes involve. (another reason for delaying taking his class is so that i can devote enough time to it when i do take it.)

i'm so glad din-din was free tonight. i also went on a bike ride all the way to 3rd st, way south of market. (that was before)

i forgot to say that earlier this morning (it feels like ages ago) i started training at the office job and i like it. the two guys are really nice and friendly, the work is easy, and the products are very interesting. there is a chance i'll get to learn maya too! (that's the Rolls Royce of animation software)... although apparently it will take forever to learn, i'm still excited about it. i just expressed interest in it and they both offered to install it in my computer. so nice. they also break off and jabber in italian occasionally, which is cool. i can pick out some simple italian words (i got through CD 1 and 1/2 while stuck in traffic on the bridge recently).

anyway i'm tired. buona sera
