Freedom Day

The mice are all doing well. I need to take pictures but the camera beeps scare them, and they often hide when I get close to the cage anyways.

The mite problem seems to be fading and they're all looking bigger, although they're still small and young. I haven't bothered them that much lately so they're a little braver when the lights are on. They like to play and run on the wheels. Yesterday in the wee hours of the morning they woke me up with squeaking - fighting over the wheels. I had to keep telling them to be quiet and stop fighting. Right after I said it they'd be quiet. Just as I'd start falling asleep again, more squeaks!

I hope I think of or discover a great new home for them. I want to feel confident they'll do well when I release them. So much pressure. My boss posted a flier with a little mouse holding a sign: Free the Mice! Ha. Ha.

They're very cute and I've become attached. You haven't lived until you've seen a baby mouse yawn. It's the most adorable thing in the world. They stretch out their teeny little miniature arms, clench their little mouse-paw-hands, and their eyes pinch shut as the little mouth opens in a silent stretch. Awwww..

Who needs tv?
