Room Progress

I am enjoying a nice breather from work. Our email is down and we're on the brink of a new product launch. I got to copy-edit my first press release. Not my, but you know what I mean.

Last night I worked on my window some more. For those of you who don't know, I decided not to repaint the trim a pale peach, instead keeping it white. It took me a year to make that decision and in the mean time my windows were covered with plastic.

After I decided I liked the white trim, I took down the plastic and fashioned my light purple sarong into a window covering. It hangs from a bamboo rod which is snug on over-the-door-hooks which are perched over the trim itself. I used hair bands as rings to connect the sarong to the bamboo.

The window had a lot of old tape and paint stuck on it all around the borders. It made the panes look smaller and I thought it would be a pain to get off. My dad gave me good advice and told me to get a scraper and then use Goof Off. It didn't take that long and now my window looks large and clean.

Pretty soon I'm going to have to get to finishing the paint edges.

Dan moved into his own room last night. The hardwood in his room looks beautiful.
