update

This past weekend my mom and I went to the Palace of the Legion of Honor. We saw the women impressionists and listened to the audio tour. They featured Mary Casatt, who does lots of women and children; Marie Bracquemond, whose husband cut short her impressionism career; Eva Gonzales, who was Monet's pet favorite; and Berthe Morisot, who painted her daughter Julie a lot. It was interesting to learn about the painters. Women were confined to a domestic life, and even these painters couldn't go outside without a chaperone, or visit a salon, pub, club, etc. That's why there are a lot of pictures of women, children, interiors, and parks.

We liked the impressionists, but also wanted to see the rest of the place. We like this big picture called the Russian Bride's Attire. The Russian bride has really long hair and everyone in the picture looks real, and has expression. In the same room as that one is the Broken Pitcher, which my mom and I also like.

The we spent a lot of time going around trying to find this one picture my mom likes which she calls "The Duke." But alas, the Duke has gone missing. So instead we went to Tanforan to BJs where I had non-cheesed pizza (but they put cheese on it anyways, they always do) and my mom had a very saucy lasagna. It was nice hanging out with my mom. Later I had a headache so we watched a Hercule Poirot.

Sunday I was pretty busy with errands. My room has a bit more space now, but I still have the same old problem - no place for peeps to sit.
