been pretty busy lately and not making any progress with my farm walk donation goal. I wanted to use some past artwork to make t-shirts or bags that people can buy via cafepress and the proceeds would all go to farm sanctuary, but I haven't gotten far enough with that. The problem is the Photoshop is at work and I've been really busy at work -- 2 new brands and all their products to put up and constant interruptions about customer orders/invoicing/tracking/etc. Lots of little problems that take forever to clear up, like logos with too many colors so it's hard to fix them so they'll be ready for the website (my boss has taken a liking to Apple's white-everything look, so I have to make the background for all the logos white which can be easy or time consuming depending on the logo) and little minor things that involve lots of calling around to verify stuff. Joys of selling software.
I have some art pics in digital form but haven't figured out (or had time to figure out) how to get them right and ready for cafepress. I used to have an account with them but never did anything with it so I have to learn it all. Maybe I can sell some stuff around here to raise $... I think they are trying to raise money for a tractor and also probably to get voters to pass Prop 2 (humane treatment of farm animals) and I'd like to help.
I'm tired and in the midst of errands, so the last two topics are just comments:
I'm loving the return of warm weather to SF, however brief. October is it's own weird summer in SF.
Last night I made whole-wheat gnocchi with spaghetti sauce. Not bad. I overcooked the gnocchi because when I put them in the boiling water, the water stopped boiling. So much for the 2-3 minutes cooking. Took a while for the boil to come back. And the result: slightly mushy gnocchi. Still good though. I got it at Cost Plus World Market, by Barnes & Noble at Fisherman's Wharf. I just wanted to return a book there but I had to buy the gnocchi so I could park in the Cost Plus parking lot legally.
By the way, does anyone know how to cook tapioca balls? The grocery store across the street has them but the directions speak of soaking overnight, a process involving too much foresight IMO. Have tapioca. Want bubbles. I need J but I think she's swimming in Barbados still.
Bonsoir mon amis
