where do I begin?

This morning, while I remembered my DMV appointment, I completely forgot to wash my hair in preparation for the renewal pic. Not only that, I'm leaving my car in the East Bay until I sell it, remember? To avoid having to worry about street cleaning tickets, and because I use it so little I won't even miss it. I slept in so I had to bike there. Not a problem except the whole point of the once in 15 year renewal photo op is that you have a chance to make it better, not greasier with helmet head hair and indentation marks on your forehead. I also think I blinked. In fact, I'm sure I blinked, just as the flash was going off, but the lady said I didn't blink at all - but what does she know, because I know I was seeing lid and not camera. So. We'll see how that comes out.

The other thing I did was recycle my favorite pair of tennies. (By mistake.) It's not that big a deal, I have 2 others just like them, only the wrong color and one's super old ready to be dumped and the other pair is too new (not gushy enough to run in) and dark blue so don't always match well. They're only about $10 at Payless at least. They were in the bottom of a paper bag when I brought my stuff back from my parents'. When I was cleaning my room up and putting things away I assumed the bag was for recycling so I was throwing all my mail, etc. in there, and then put it out in the recycler, squishing it all down hard so it would fit. This morning when I couldn't find my light blue shoes I realized what I had done. Hopefully they'll be easy to replace.

Time to zen out in hot shower.
