i read this today

Death at the Holocaust Museum and the Degradation of the American Dialogue

I remember I was at a focus group about women and motorcycles and beforehand we had to create a book that had pictures of things we liked, our inspiration, women we admired, women we didn't, etc.

I picked Ann Coulter as the woman I didn't like, but I didn't really have a direct reason, it was just a feeling that I didn't like her. I told them I didn't know why I didn't like her, but I really didn't like her, she just rubbed me the wrong way.

After reading this article, I understand why I picked her.

One of the comments after the article struck a chord:

The hateful speech of the people mentioned in the article serve as examples of their own respective pathologies and their words are enough to hold them accountable for. There is no need to manufacture additional reasons to dislike them...their words are enough.

I don't think the author is manufacturing additional reasons to dislike them... more like pointing out that words have power.

Also the parts about McCain and Palin I thought were interesting.

Last night I read The Manual of the Warrior of Light.
