Tonight I drive to Reno with my mom. We'll be visiting Kathy & fam.

'Course, haven't packed yet. Thought I would yesterday but got busy with errands, life, etc. I'll do it tonight after work before rehearsal. We leave after rehearsal and no dallying.

So, in order to give me more time after work, I decided to go to the bank and get gas at lunch. I got vegetables and rice from Jasmines. See, I was thinking - here I'm out of time, running here and there, but I'm going to make a commitment and eat healthily.

So I get here and start eating. It's just stupid. I have all these chunky, tasteless zucchinis, these over grown baby corn on the cobs (which are watery blah), some uncooked broccoli (sorry, partially cooked and partially yellow - not a good sign), big zigzaggy crunchy-warm carrots. Disgusting. And this rice. Mounds and mounds of this mushy, sticky white rice. Where's the quality, I ask you? Where?

Is it any wonder people would rather get junk food?

I have had good vegetables, yummy healthy meals, and tasty greens before. But try to *buy* one of these kind of meals within any decent driving distance of my home. Never happens.

See. I am forced to cook. And I don't have any &*#^&#^%&@#^$%*#&^$&*@#^$ time to cook. And I will NOT by a microwave-ready meal either..

:(
