If you are hit by an oxcart, you must rest.

Ancient Chinese Wisdom provided by LM, as she no doubt would prefer to be called.

I have been taking that advice ever since I was hit by a car last Monday after a fun cruise to Mexico with Amy. I refer you to Amy's Detailed Tome for more info on that.

Today I took it way easy after a long, arduous day checking out prospective roomies. (Ok, half a day.) We decided on Dan, by the way. He is tall and had the best vibe.

Back to today: I thought I'd use the time on my hands to rid my room of unwanted stuff. About halfway through shuffling about putting this or that here or there, I made the mistake of sliding one box full of unwanted books about 2 feet over and had to call it quits. Now I have no less than four boxes of unwanted stuff cluttering my floor but what can you do in my condition, I ask you?

I also unwrapped the beautiful orchid Jen gave me and read the instructions. Which were something along the lines of: wait until fully dry, water, the next time you water (when it's dry), water with orchid stuff, then repeat. I unfortunately must have tossed away the valuable tag because when I wanted to take a slow walk a few blocks to the (unopen) nursery I couldn't find the instructions again. I thought they must know but like I said, when I finally got there, it wasn't open. I hope I can find the right orchid food without having to know the orchid's proper name. Sadly I forgot it. I'm sure if it were a pretty name I would have remembered it. The orchid itself is very pretty and pink so thanks again Jen. :)

It drives me nuts that Mac cannot figure out how to make the "end" key work properly. It doesn't do anything. On PCs it works just fine. That is the one and only thing I hate about my Mac.

I'm still very achey but except for the four boxes providing a nice obstacle course on the floor and the coat blocking out what sun there is at the window, my room is looking just a little bit better now.
